It’s finally CHRISTMAS! We are so excited as there is so much to do in December in Liverpool across the month. We’ve put together a list of our favourite festive events happening. Keep reading to find out more.

Royal Albert Dock Floating Cinema: 27th November – 10th December

The successful Royal Albert Dock floating cinema is back for the holidays! This time (of course) it’s Christmas themed. Movie fans will be able to snuggle up under the blankets as they watch their favourite festive films.

You can enjoy Christmas classics such as Elf, Love Actually, Die Hard and The Holiday. Of course they’ll be showing everyone’s family favourites Home Alone, The Grinch, Muppets Christmas Carol and The Polar Express. Don’t worry about getting hungry as the Dock restaurants will be offering a delicious array of festive front row treats, drinks and refreshments.

Michael Buble: 3 – 4th December

It really isn’t Christmas without Michael Buble is it? Spend “An Evening with Michael Buble” at the M&S Bank Arena, where he will be performing alongside his incredible 32-piece band.

This is a concert not to be missed, as Michael Buble is one of the best entertainers in the world. He is able to connect with his audience like no other performer by creating an intimate atmosphere with the audience, who he refers to as his family.

Michael will be taking stage across two nights at the area. Tickets are available online now. Our The Docks apartments at Royal Quay is on the doorstep of the venue, so why not take advantage and book your accommodation now.

Cinderella: 6th December – 5th January

Pantomimes are the epitome of a British Christmas and Cinderella is no exception. The Epstein Theatre, on Hanover St, will be performing the panto for a month long. The fairy-tale show promises to be a festive extravaganza with enchanted pumpkins, glass slippers, a sparkling fairy-tale carriage and a Fairy Godmother to make all your dreams come true.

Emmerdale’s Sammy Winward leads the cast in the title role of Cinderella, whilst Benidorm’s Crissy Rock and Brookside’s Sarah White double up as the Ugly Sisters.

Cinderella tells the story of a beautiful girl who is forced to be a servant by her two ugly stepsisters. That is all set to change when an invitation to a grand ball at the palace arrives.

Miracle on 34th Street: 7th December – 4th January

The Playhouse brings you Miracle of 34th Street. This is set to be a festive treat for the whole family, with their new production of this classic Christmas tale. They promise an enchanted  music box with plenty of festive magic.

Peter Pan: 7 – 29th December

This month Liverpool Empire Theatre bring you everyone’s favourite, Peter Pan! Take a trip to Neverland this Christmas with this hilarious pantomime. Jolly Roger navigates the perilous high seas and throws anchor for another unmissable festive season at the Empire.

The star cast includes Benidorm’s Tony Maudsley as Kenneth the Cabin Boy, and Asa Elliott as Tiger Billy. They will be joined by much loved Liverpool television and stage actor Louis Emerick as Captain Hook.

Promising jaw-dropping flying and special effects, lots of laughter and a shop full of magic and fairy dust, there will be plenty of festive fun for all of the family.

Snow White: 13 – 24th December

If all those panto’s aren’t enough… we have another one for you! Snow White and her seven little friends from the enchanted forest are coming to The Auditorium at M&S Bank Arena. They will attempt to defeat the evil Wicked Queen who is overcome with jealousy when her magic mirror declares that Snow White is the fairest of them all.

The show promises to be filled with love, laughter, music and comedy. There will be breath taking sets and amazing special effects that will wow the audience. JJ Hamblett from the boyband Union J will star as The Price, alongside Radio City’s Leanne Campbell as The Wicked Queen. Ellie Turner will play Snow White with Mark Hudson as Dame Dolly.

Liverpool International Horse Show: 28 – 31st December

Liverpool International Horse Show returns to the M&S Bank Arena at the end of the month. Liverpool’s iconic equestrian spectacular features a huge line up of international horses and rides. There will be plenty of family entertainment alongside extensive luxury shopping and an all new premium food and drinks outlet that will be sure to keep the champagne flowing until late!

In the arena there will be live music from band The Kings, featuring The Voice finalist Mitchel Emms. New exclusive act Eletric Storm will also be performing. There will be a circus themed fusion of stunt horses, pyrotechnic dance show, aerial acrobats and LED trials bikes.

There will be plenty to do, so if you’re a horse fan then this is not to be missed! Tickets are available online now. Our Duke Street apartments are the perfect location to stay, as they’re only a 15 minute walk to the arena.
