Celebrating Bold Street 8th July

To celebrate Independents week, Liverpool BID are taking over Bold Street in Liverpool city centre, just a few minutes walk from Base. On the day, the street famous for its independent eateries, quirky vintage shops and great bars will come alive. Many restaurants and shops will spill out onto the pavements to showcase their respective offers. From arts, crafts and gifts to delicious food from around the world.

If that’s not enough, you’ll also be entertained by colourful street theatre! Celebrating Bold Street gives visitors the unique opportunity to find out just why Bold Street is so special and the much-loved destination it is.

Liverpool Biennial 14th July – 28th October

The 10th edition of Liverpool Biennial returns in July with another huge celebration of contemporary art. The city of Liverpool will provide the setting for the art work of over 40 artists from 22 countries. It will present work that responds to the call ‘beautiful world, where are you’, which invites artists and audiences to reflect on a world in social, political and economic turmoil.

This free exhibition will be spotted in various locations across the city centre, wowing passers-by with awe-inspiring art work. Find out more about the programme of events here.

Pier Head Village 14th July – 9th September

Can you imagine riding on a thrilling fair ride, eye level with the liver building on a UNESCO World Heritage Site? Well now you can at Pier Head Village! The pop-up festival, set against the magnificent back drop of the three graces at Liverpool’s waterfront, will welcome bars, street food and fair rides once again for a summer of festival fun.

With this year’s Liverpool 2018 celebrations and with more exciting stalls and rides added, the festival village is set to be better than ever! Brazilica Saturday 14th July

Brazilica returns to Liverpool for yet another year with its huge celebration of Brazilian arts and culture. The free festival brings over 800 artists together from the UK, Europe and Brazil for a festival filled with live music, performances and mouth-watering Brazilian food and drink.

Witness the spectacular evening parade throughout the city centre with glittering costumes, floats and the irresistible sounds of samba. Throughout the day, bands will be performing on the city centre mainstage and in the Brazilian marketplace you can sample food and drink from across the country. Liverpool International Music Festival 21st – 22nd July

Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) returns to the magnificent Sefton Park this month for a weekend of unforgettable music. There’s not many festivals in the world with a price tag of just £5, with over 70 artists and headline acts. Expect to see Hacienda Classical, Basement Jaxx, Wiley, Example & DJ Wire, Jax Jones and much more!

Over two days, the festival will bring live performances over three stages, fun family activities and a fantastic offering of local food and drink suppliers to keep you fuelled for action. Liverpool Pride 28th – 29th July

Over the last 9 years, Liverpool Pride has grown incredibly to become one of the city’s major annual events. This year, the event presents #alltogethernow, a festival of inclusion involving all corners of the LGBTQ+ community.
