It’s November. The clocks have gone back and there’s ice in the air, which means only one thing… Christmas is coming! This month, Liverpool gears up for a season of festive fun with a whole host of events tailored around the holiday season. Not only that, the city will see the return of the magnificent River of Light plus loads of headline events at The Echo Arena. Remember, remember the 4th November – yes, we are celebrating Bonfire Night a day early this year in Liverpool. On Sunday 4th November the famous Titanium Fireworks will light up the skies above the River Mersey in spectacular fashion, along with a soundtrack from Capital Liverpool.

The spectacle will act as the finale for Liverpool’s ‘China Dream’ year-long cultural event and it’s set to go out with a BANG! Expect street theatre, family activities and mesmerising art installations. The installations will represent the 5 elements that underpin Chinese philosophy: water, fire, earth, metal and wood. For the foodies, there’ll be your favourite food and drink stalls stocked up with winter warmers and cold snacks.

Benidorm Live 12th-17th November

On stage for the very first time, stars from ITV award-winning comedy are coming to Liverpool this November. Who said it can’t be sunny in November? Get your dose of Benidorm sunshine and see your favourite stars perform their hilarious antics at The Liverpool Empire Theatre, as they swap Sangria for the stage.

Starring Jake Canuso (Mateo), Janine Duvitski (Jacqueline), Adam Gillen (Liam), Sherrie Hewson (Joyce Temple-Savage), Shelley Longworth (Sam) and Tony Maudsley (Kenneth). The much-loved cast members are set to have crowds entertained this November with their smash hit performance of Alicante escapades!

One Big Christmas Street Party 16th November

Like we didn’t need an excuse to go shopping. Liverpool One shopping centre kicks off the Christmas season with a huge Christmas Street Party in November! The iconic 30m tree is back on Paradise Street and will already be illuminated in preparation for the party. Bar Hutte, the festive ski themed bar below the tree will be back again with live music and serving up festive cocktails.

Throughout the evening, expect music, giveaways festive characters and pop-up pantomime performances. Plus, look out for a piano playing Santa and The Voice Kids 2018 contestant Astrid, who’ll be performing Christmas classics to add to the festive cheer!

After selling over 100,000 tickets on his 2017 tour, Rick and his band will play at The Echo Arena joined by very special guest Gabrielle! Famous for his hit song ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ and with a career spanning over 30 years, Rick has sold over 40 million records worldwide making him a pop legend.

Another event not to miss this November in Liverpool is Radio City Live – and just look at that lineup! George Ezra, whose song ‘Shotgun’ was undeniably THE song of the summer, will perform at the concert along with fellow chart-topping singer, Jess Glynne. If that’s not enough to get you excited, Rita Ora who recently broke a long-standing record for the most Top Ten songs by a British female solo artist, will also be performing.

Adding to the incredible line-up is DJ and hitmaker, Jax Jones and pop sensation Sigrid. Singer songwriter Tom Walker will also join the event along with X-Factor 2017 winners Rak-Su and DJ James Hype.

Another show at The Arena, and described as the must see show for all bowie fans is Bowie Starman.  This tribute performance showcases songs from all eras of David Bowies celebrated career. From Rebel Rebel to China Girl, Let’s Dance to Young Americans, the list goes on and on. David Bowie delivered many of the most memorable, inspiring songs of a generation. They are all curated in true fashion to create a thought provoking musical celebration that you’ll want to see again and again.
