It’s been a while but our monthly previews are back, starting with April 2017.

Liverpool in April 2017
Liverpool v Everton – The Merseyside Derby
Saturday 1st April
Everton will be making the short trip to Anfield as Liverpool host their bitter rivals on April Fool’s Day no less!
After Liverpool grabbed a late 1-0 winner at Goodison Park last December, Everton will no doubt be eager to grab their first win at Anfield since 1999.
14 Hour Super Weird Happening
Saturday 1st April
Greg Wilson’s Super Weird Substance are hosting a 14 hour Happening.
Featuring live music, DJ’s, exhibitions, panel discussions, poetry, performance and live art – this looks to be quite the event.
Monday 3rd April
The Who will be premiering a new acoustic presentation of hit rock opera “Tommy”.
Rescheduled from September last year, Roger and Pete will be playing the album in full at the Echo Arena, along with other great Who songs.
Grease: The Musical
Monday 3rd – Saturday 8th April
Dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and take a trip to a simpler time as Danny and Sandy fall in love all over again.
It’s the original high-school musical, featuring all the unforgettable songs including You’re The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Sandy, and Greased Lightnin’.
Wednesday 5th April
Liverpool’s own Spice Girl, Mel C will be heading to the 02 Academy in support of her seventh album “Version of Me”.

The Randox Health Grand National 2017
Thursday 6th – Saturday 8th April
The biggest horse racing event of the year is back again!

The former Jam frontman has confirmed his first UK tour since 2015, with a date at Liverpool’s Guild of Students confirmed.

Monday 10th April
Strictly Come Dancing stars Aljaz and Janette pay tribute to Fred Astaire in this spectacular new show.

Ghost: The Musical
Monday 10th – Saturday 15th April
Bill Kenwright presents a brand new production of the timeless story of love, despair and hope: Ghost – The Musical.
Taking its inspiration from the classic movie, this innovative reimagining comes to Liverpool Empire Theatre this April.
Premier League Darts
Thursday 13th April
The world’s top darts still return to the Echo Arena for the Betway Premier League this April.
See the likes of Phil Taylor, Gary Anderson and Michael van Gerwern compete for the prestigious title.

Saturday 15th April
Grammy Award-winning entertainer, Bruno Mars, brings his massive 24K Magic World Tour global to Liverpool Echo Arena.
The tour marks Mars’ first full-length tour since 2013’s hugely successful Moonshine Jungle World Tour; an international blockbuster that sold 2 million tickets worldwide across 155 sold-out dates.
Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival

Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival will be taking over Sefton Park for Easter Weekend.

Two of Liverpool’s cultural institutions will come together for Cream Classical Live.
Taking place at Liverpool Cathedral, experience Cream dance classics performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a truly unrivalled setting.
Saturday 22nd April
WRONG is a new festival based in Liverpool’s docklands which brings together the heavier and weirder corners of rock music, from punk to noise to psychedelia and everywhere in between.
